On May 2, 2023, the Board of Education of Baltimore County (Board) received for consideration a report from the Central and Northeast Area Middle School Boundary Study Committee recommending boundary changes to middle schools in the Northeast and Central region to establish an attendance area for the new Northeast Area middle school and expand the attendance area for Pine Grove Middle School and its addition. The recommendation, known as “Option E,” affects the boundaries of Cockeysville, Dumbarton, Golden Ring, Loch Raven Technical Academy, Middle River, Parkville, Perry Hall, Ridgely, and Stemmers Run middle schools. The Board’s public hearing on the recommended boundary change was scheduled on May 17, 2023, at Parkville High School. The Board will vote on the recommendation at the June 13, 2023, Board meeting. 

Attached is the FY2023 General Fund Report of Revenues, Expenditures, and Encumbrances–Budget and Actual for the period ending April 2023.

BCPS annually produces and publicizes Students Count, which contains official student enrollment, ten-year enrollment projections data, and school utilization data. It is provided as an information item to the Board of Education in February 2023. This June 2023 update reflects enrollment projection redistributions resulting from the Deer Park Middle Magnet School Boundary Study, full-day prekindergarten and special education initiatives, and future year projection revisions for some specific high schools.
